Official state guidance says the service covers Pennsylvania county jails, state prisons, and state parole. Cumberland County Prison custody changes fall within that stated scope. 4. Compare spelling, identifiers, participating agency, and location context across possible matches.
5. Open the correct record and read the supplied custody status and agency details.

A no-result proves very little. The name may be misspelled, the wrong jurisdiction may be selected, the agency update may be delayed, or custody may have shifted to a system outside PA SAVIN. Restricted identity can also affect public display. Check the Cumberland current roster, call Inmate Records, and review the UJS docket before treating the miss as a release.

Phone registration is also available at 866-972-7284, with TTY service at 866-847-1298. Operators are available around the clock. Unanswered calls may repeat for 24 to 48 hours or until acknowledged. Multiple phone numbers and email addresses may be registered. Avoid a switchboard, since the person who receives the call must be able to enter the PIN.

Official guidance says the person being tracked is not told who registered. Update any changed phone number or email address. Automated delivery can fail, so keep a direct verification path ready. An alert may arrive near the event, but the originating agency record remains the best account of the precise movement and reason.

The state instructions confirm covered custody settings and the alert-registration process. Use them for service rules, then use the Cumberland County or PA DOC source to confirm the actual event.

Confirm Cumberland VINE Releases

The jail movement entry records the county event. A PA DOC or ICE result may prove continued custody elsewhere. Keep conflicting times visible until the responsible custodian explains them.

Cumberland VINE Boundary Checks

SCI Camp Hill serves a male diagnostic and classification role, so the first state location may later change. That does not rule out state, local, immigration, or federal supervised status. A federal pretrial defendant may be under U.S. Marshals responsibility without appearing as a sentenced BOP inmate. Use the federal docket and actual custodian for that interval.

ICE also stands outside PA SAVIN. Search the ICE Online Detainee Locator System with the most exact available identifier when an immigration handoff is plausible. No current official evidence establishes an ICE detention contract at Cumberland County Prison. Historical county records show that a handoff has occurred in a detainer case, but that old example cannot prove a current person’s destination.

Cumberland VINE Event Meanings
